Light in Womb
2024
This work draws on the imagery of amniotic fluid and the inner sea that surrounds the forming body. The blue, semi-transparent membrane references both cellular boundaries and the womb’s waters, as well as ocean in macroscopical level. The central, human-like form symbolizes a newborn—an embodiment of hope and the quiet joy of emerging life. Its placement within a softened, abstracted contour reminiscent of the female genital structure evokes the protective and nurturing forces of both the mother and the ocean. Surrounding waves and diffused shapes gesture toward the vastness of the sea and the open field of possibilities.
By merging microscopic structures with mythic symbolism, the piece reimagines the body as a fluid cosmos—an environment where protection, permeability, and renewal coexist. The flowing forms and subtle luminosities evoke the primal waters that shape early perception and connection, offering a quiet reflection on feminine care, origin, and the soft architectures that sustain life.
